Name: Calumnia Somniatoris
Age: 15 (Birthday: December 1st)
Description: Calummia is at a somewhat tall height for his age, only five foot eight inches. He has a lean, slim body, with a slightly muscular build. He has eye colors that shift from a glittering emerald to a warm, captivating amber. This is because of his heritage( Pothos being the god of romantic longing, yearning, and desire), and he has olive-toned skin. His hair is a dark ebony, slightly long, and he has softer features, making him appear a little feminine. His eyes are framed by thick lashes, and he is usually seen at the beach, sitting on a tree. A distinctive feature of his is that he has a silver piercing on his left earlobe. Calumnia also has a lyrical, silky voice, sweet and welcoming, similar to a charmspeaker's, but without any magical powers. He can be seen wearing loose, semi-formal clothing. In colder times, however, he prefers to wear a cloak or long coat instead of scarves or hoodies, making him a bit more recognizable. Calumnia also has a small scar on the back of his neck, barely there, but a result of his childhood attack, a particularly sensitive part of his.
Sexuality: Bisexual
Mortal Parent: Elutheria Somniatoris
Godly Parent:Pothos(The minor god of romantic longing, yearning, and desire)
Personality: Though Calumnia is the son of Pothos, he is a intelligent boy, his social skills making him store information and facts he might not have otherwise. Highly popular, Calumnia is a calm, serene person, hardly ever seen fazed during his time at Camp Half-Blood. He has a habit of gently teasing people, smiling at their blushes. He might come off as a bit flirty, but doesn't do so on purpose.
Calumnia enjoys reading, often seen at the beach with a book or two, just enjoying the light. Though the boy is usually easy-going and gentle, he holds no remorse when it comes to battle, often heard saying that"Just because I'm the child of a Erote does not mean I am helpless." Calumnia enjoys helping the medics out in the Apollo cabin, and chats often with Athena cabin members. He does not have ADHD or dyslexia, unlike most demigods.
Though the demigod is quite gentle and caring, when hurt deeply, Calumnia tends to refuse to accept apologies, turning from a warm person to a cold, silent being, withdrawing more and more into himself until someone coaxes him out of his shell. This stems from his fatal flaw-the fear that someone he cares about leaves and he's too broken to continue on.
The son of Pothos also enjoys cooking or cleaning, sometimes helping the harpies make dinner or lunch. Some other hobbies of his are painting, horseback riding, and ice skating. He dislikes food that's not cooked properly, people who are too cocky, and people who degrade and insult others for no apparent reason.
Though he has a very demure, kind outwards personality, inside he is a very calculating person. When he first meets someone, he immediately sizes up their worth, then deciding if it would be beneficial to forge a friendship or not. If not, then he'll still be close acquaintances with them, but not as close as he would be. It's a part of him he sometimes despises, but it's a part of him.
Another less polished part of the son of Pothos is that he had a crueler, more demonic part of him that he itches to unleash on his enemies. A side of him lusts and desires to torture those who deserve it, to make them pay penance for their crimes. Calumnia wishes for his enemies to suffer wholly-both mentally and physically, to paint the skies with their blood. However, one of their greatest fears is to let that part of him be unleashed on innocents, so he locks it up deep inside.
He likes quotes, often musing about their meaning, along with names, knowing his means something and wondering what others may imply.(Calumnia/Liberty, Sommiatoris/Dreamer)He likes to look at others and see what they might have as a personality, as their history and names.
History: Elutheria was a beautiful woman, with dark hair and eyes along with an olive skin tone. The heiress to a wealthy family, she grew up with luxuries. However, she yearned to discover more than what hid in her family's villa, so she escaped her home at night, returning in morning.
One day, visiting a moonlight lake, she encountered a man she had never seen the likes of before. Undaunted by his vast expanse of charm, she bluntly asked him who he was. Pothos, on the other hand, was stunned. It was the first time he had met a mortal woman who could not only see through the Mist, but who could resist his charms also. He was immediately attracted to her, and they met up every night.
They grew closer and closer, eventually birthing Calumnia, until Pothos revealed his identity, saying that Zeus was furious at him for neglecting his duties to visit her, and he was banned from ever meeting her in person again. Accepting the truth for what it was, she took the child and pressed a sweet, chaste kiss on his cheek, then walked off, vowing to raise the child to the best of her ability.
Growing up, the son and mother had a very close relationship, telling each other anything and everything. Elutheria was protective of Calumnia, chasing away what rumors she could about his mysterious father, but still he heard them whispered around his home. This led to Calumnia wondering why he didn't have a father like most children, but he refrained from asking when he noticed the heartbroken expression his mother made each time the subject came up.
As he was older, Calumnia was raised to be a proper heir, learning the arts of walking, smiling, and even breathing with elegance and grace of the elite. With time, his mother grew more confident that he would not face a monster attack, letting him out once for a social dinner, along with his many friends for a treat for his good grades from his private tutor.
However, as it was, a monster had disguised himself as a monster, startling him and his mother. It managed to injure him and kill his mother, who had jumped in it's path, letting him escape. For a moment, it had been one of the few times that Calumnia had let his emotions show that strongly, but then he ran to a safehouse that his mother had told him to go to in case "anything happened".
There he met a woman, his grandmother, who had also been able to see through the Mist. She explained his heritage to him on the way to camp.
There he spent the next month or so in the Hermes cabin before he was claimed by his father when he was thirteen.
Weapons: Calumnia owns two thin, Celestial Bronze swords, which are entirely non-magical, strapped to his back with metal sheathes. He also owns two daggers, both mortal steel and one strapped to his thigh, the other his arm.
Abilities: Calumnia is able to create small feelings of attraction inside of people, or nurture romantic feelings towards someone so they become stronger. He can also create romantic desire on someone so strong that they obey your every command, but unlike charmspeaking, it depletes his energy by a large amount and renders him unable to use it until the next day.
